We organise, motivate to participate in competitive sporting activities as part of the Global Paralympic Movement. We help to identify potential Paralympians and assist athletes to prepare for competition by providing funds for coaching, equipment and travel in the lead up to the Paralympic Games.


Four Indian Rio Paralympics medal winners — Devendra Jhajharia, Mariyappan Thangavelu, Deepa Malik and Varun Singh Bhati — were felicitated here by a host of personalities, including cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Jhajharia had won the gold medal in men’s javelin throw F46 and is the only Indian to have clinched two gold medals in Paralympics.Thangavelu also clinched a gold medal in men’s high jump T42 while Bhati won a bronze in the same event. Malik became the first Indian woman to bag a medal in Paralympics by clinching a silver in women’s F53 shot put.Each of the medal winners received a cheque of Rs 15 lakh. It was also announced that medal winners in earlier editions of Paralympics will also be presented Rs 15 lakh each.
Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today announced to give cash awards to the winners of Paralympics at par with those of the winners of the Olympics.The Chief Minister who was declaring open the 5-day 16th Senior National Para Athletic Championship-2016 in Panchkula today said that the Government has already decided to give a Rewards of Rs Six Crore to the Gold Medal Winner of Paralympics, Rs four crore to Silver Medal Winner and Rs 2.5 crore to Bronze Medal Winner.The announcement by the Chief Minister was hailed with thunderous applause by all the participants representing over 20 States of the country. Such players would also be given facilities admissible to other players who win laurels in international competitions.
